Volvo Repair: 1998 V70, speed bearings, coolant leak

Question
Two problems:
(1) low groaning sound at wheel-speed (bearings?) what should I do to avoid getting abused at repair shop. (Abuse=ripped off)
(2) coolant leak. Need to add about qt every 2-3 weeks to reservoir. Shop talked about pressure testing system. Make sense?

  Lary, (1) Have it test driven by someone familiar with Volvo's and get their opinion/diagnosis. Sounds like you may be right, but a bad differential will make those sounds too. Ask your freinds,neighbors, co-workers etc. where they go and who they trust.

(2) Yes, have the pressure test done to find the leak. They should only charge you .5 hours or less.
