Volvo Repair: Volvo S60 2004 low-beam headlight bulb connector, volvo s60, 2004 volvo s60

Question
I have been trying to replace my right low beam on my 2004 Volvo S60. The manual says I should remove the round plastic cap at the back of the headlight (successfully done) then remove the connector. From the picture, I take this to mean the little black plastic cube with 2 wire sticking out of it. I have been stuck at this stage. Try as I might, I cant get it out, and I don't know if I am missing something. How do you get the connector off?

Answer
You either rotate the ring and pull the bulb and connector together and seperate them where you can see it. Or, if euro style, there are two metal spring clips, one on each side you have to squeeze, swing out of there holder while squeezing, and then pull the bulb and connector together like above. Some times they are stuck in there pretty darn good and there is not a lot of room to work.
