Volvo Repair: Timing belt replacement, timing belt replacement, faint marks

Hi Roger, I`m replacing the timing belt on a c70 coupe 1998 and I can`t eam to find the alignment mark for the intake cam....not on the cover, and I can`t find it anywhere.....where is it???? Thank`s for your help Steph

Steph, Take the front cover off and look at the top cover. Look at the botton of the cover and there are 2 notches like a V.  Both the intake and exhaust cam marks need to be there on the V. There are very faint marks on the cams itself so if you see them, mark them with a sharpie pen.  Roger
