QuestionQUESTION: Hi. I have a 1994 Volvo 850 Turbo and a mysterious battery drain problem. When I disconnect the positive terminal, I can measure a 400 mA current that drains the battery overnight. Today I disconnected all fuses and relays. The drain still remains. The car is a US car and has no secondary air system. What can I do?
ANSWER: Rolando, I have seen the instrument cluster create a drain like that. Other than that, I would need to perform some other tests. Roger

Today I disconnected also the generator and the two connectors at the instrument panel. No effect. Still a drain of ca. 400mA. As I disconnected nearly everything now, I don't know, what I can do next? Disassemble the wiring?
As a little background I should probably say that this issue occurred after changing the radiator, spark plugs, distributor cab and rotor. To do so, I disconnected the battery and after finishing the work and reconnection, the battery drain within two nights. As I didn't touch electrical wiring in low voltage circuits at all, I can't really explain myself, what happened.
Any additional hints to check would be very appreciated.

AnswerRolando, I forgo one thing that happens also so you can try it. see if the glove box is slightly opened and causing the switch to stay on. That has been a draw issue as well. Also disconnect the relay at the air pump and see if that stops the draw. Those get wet all the time and the relay pretty much toasts itself. Roger
