Volvo Repair: regular gas, warranty repairs, volvo 850

My Dad gave me his 1996 Volvo 850 with only 45000 miles. He has always used premium gas and I wanted to know if it can damage the engine if I use regular instead. I have run a couple of tanks thru it without any performance problems due to the higher cost of the premium gas but don't want to cause any down the road problems. Thanks, Gary

all cars that are in USA can use regular gas  you can use it with no problems just stay with brand gas station small gas station have more junk in fuel (like water,dirt ) :) but you can use regular gas i use it as mechanic in my car all the time no problems  and  most costumer that i know use regular fuel .it will not damage anything the fuel has been approved by manufactures company and gas company they work together  if there were bad gas you know how many car company would go bankrupt from fixing warranty repairs  from bad gas so  don't worry  about gas use regular if you like and one more thing  most sold gas in usa is regular
