Volvo Repair: Light/fuse--gear shift console, fuse gear, light fuse

Question
I own a '91 740 turbo wagon. Since purchasing it 2 years ago, I can't seem to locate if the shift steering column has a lightbulb (or is illumniated). I've check the fuse for that steering column area but it seems to be ok as other functions are working. It is just a pain that can't see what gear we are in, especiall problematic when someone else drives it at night. Manual doesn't help. Any assistance, thoughts would be appreciated.

Answer
Its funny that people actually look at that stuff since Volvo lock it into drive when you pull it down.  Yes there is a bulb and basically its a pain in the neck to replace it.  Its located under the shifter assembly where the PRND12 symbols are.  Roger
