Volvo Repair: 2001 V70 --60k service, v70 volvo, independent volvo

I have 60K miles on my 2001 v70 volvo and am thinking about getting the regular 60k suggested service at the dealership.  Since this service is very expensive, can you recommend which items are the most important to do? The dealer told me that he would charge me only for the service items that I want to have done.

Bill, I would find an independent Volvo shop.  They will perform the service at probably half the cost.  All they are doing is what is in the service Manual.  At ridiculous prices.  Oil change, spark plugs, air filter, cabin filter, rotate tires, fuel filter, and general check of vehicle. I would look at the book just to be sure.  Roger
