Volvo Repair: Radio codes, volvo v70, volvo dealers

Question
I purchased a Volvo V70 about 2 years ago. Recently< I had the battery replaced. When I left the mechanic, I saw that the lights above the radio were flashing a message prompting me for a code.  As I am no the original owner, I did not have the proper code for the radio and now have no use of the stereo/radio. Is there any way to get that code other than from the original owner - I tried that and he did not keep that information.  (I do have an onwers manual with some numbers scribbled on it but I cannot get back to the code prompt.)

Answer
Dan, Yes, this is an easy one.  You need to pull the radio and get the serial numbers of it and then call your local Volvo Dealers parts department and explain the situation and they will ask you for the serial number, radio model number, and perhaps a few other numbers. Roger
