Volvo Repair: Volvo cowling leakage?, squirrel cage, shunts

Question
I have a leak coming from somewhere in the front part of the car that pools in the squirrel cage housing for the fan. When it rains/pools up enough, and I make a left turn up a hill, the water spills out of the housing onto the passenger side floor. Is there a drain that is stopped up somewhere that shunts the water to the fan housing?

Roddy, there is a drain in the center tunnel.  Remove the passenger panel and you will see the hose.  Remove it and see if there is anything clogged in there.  Roger

Oops sorry Roddy, I just checked to see your model year.  Go to the firewall and see if the hole is clogged.  If not then the Evap case is mose likely cracked and leaking all over the place.  Roger
