Volvo Repair: How to remove S40 door panel, great forum, s90

Hi. I have a 2006 S40, and I need to remove the front passenger door panel to install a new mirror. Can you give me the procedure? I saw another response where someone asked how to remove the rear panel for an S90 or something, but this seems a little different. I'm afraid to just start yanking because I don't want to break anything.

Also, since I'm going to be installing the mirror, are there any special tricks I should be aware of?

Steve, I havent had to remove one yet but they should be the same as the other later cars.  Remove the screw at the door pull, and the trim ring.  REmove the black piece by the mirror.  Now, look at the panel, if there are funny looking button things then push in the center of it and the button comes out.   Remove all those and the panel will come out easily.   Get back to me if there are any other questions.  Roger
