Volvo Repair: electric windows, 2000 volvo s70, volvo s70

Question
Hi!
I have 2000 Volvo S70 with 65,000 miles.  For a while my rear windows haven't been going up and down very well, so I just lock them so no one opens them when they are in my car.  Recently, every once in a while none of the windows work at all including the sun roof.  I have tried fiddling with the child lock on the window and it makes the lights turn on and off on the panel, but the windows won't go down.  When I turn the child lock off and try to put the window down it makes a weird noise.  Do you know what is wrong with this and if it is something I can fix myself.  If not how much do you think it would cost me?
Also my antenna will not go down.

Answer
Gina, Replace the master switch assembly.  Its a common problem on these cars.  As far as the sunroof, it may be the switch that is going bad.  The antenna usually means the the mast is broken inside the motor assembly.  The switch assembly will be around 110 bucks. The noise may be a faulty window regulator and those are costly.  Around 300 bucks.  Roger
