Volvo Repair: 2004 volvo S60 T5 - timing belt, volvo s60 t5, volvo dealer

Question
I'm buying the car from a used car dealership that myself and my husband have been dealing with for over 10 years so I feel comfortable with the price. And the volvo dealer is doing the repairs so I will ask about the work being warrantied. They didn't mention anything about a cylinder head though, so how would I know if the cylinder head needs replacing? I'm actually in Canada so thanks for the offer.

Question -
I recently took this car out for a test drive and it broke down during the test drive. It only has 68,000 km on it. At first they thought it was the alternator but then when it was taken to the garage it turned out to be the timing belt. Also when the timing belt went, it busted some valves. Should I buy this car? Does this just mean the motor is shot and there'll be more trouble in the future.

so long they put you new cylinder head  you will be ok the engine is not damaged just the valaves bent but it is very expensive repair   here in usa the repair with new cylinder head from volvo is parts and labor $5000 try to get new cylinder head they will try to put new valves only   but if only new valves they replace try to get some discount on the car price and remmber too change the timing belt and tenssioner every 105000 miles if the price is right buy the car and let them fix it are you buying the car from volvo dealer if yes than you get warranty on the repair also   .if you are n usa close to chicago i can help you with buying a volvo

you cant tell like this only the guy who installs the new valves can tell  but you will be ok let the volvo dealer do the work  if anything happens you can come back to them  .here in chicago area we dont change valve yes you can change them   but we dont do it we replace complete cylinder head  that is the complete upper part of  the engine .if it just needs valves let them replace the valves  i strongly recomend to change all the valves not only bent ones they are 20 valves all together .
