Volvo Repair: Volvo 1993 240 Sedan, inner tie rods, suspension issues

Question
I bought a 93 240 sedan two days ago and have noticed that when i
go over 40mph the front end shakes violently. Also the steering
wheel shakes somewhat and the brake have a halting grab and
release causing the car to shake back and forth. The only sign that
something might be wrong at lower speeds is that the front driver
side makes a rattling sound when going over a bump. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Casey, sounds like you have front suspension issues.  Normally the inner tie rods and outer rods wear.  You may have a tire issue also.  I would have the whole front end checked out.  Find a good Volvo shop and if you need help finding one, let me know.  Roger
