Volvo Repair: 2000 s70 blower, failure code, bottom side

Hi, my nonturbo s70 has no fan and flashing AC & recirc lights.  Fiance said fan is louder than normal when it does come on.  Hard to replace?  Is the relay next to the fan?  I can't find any info on how to replace these parts.

The fan is not that hard to replace.  It is on the bottom side of the ac case.  Its behind the glove box.  Getting it loose isn't hard but pulling it out can be.  You may have to loosen that side of the dash and pull it forward alittle to squeeze it out.  The fan is controlled by the climate module and the flashing lights means there is a failure code stored.  I would take it to the dealer first to get a read out of what is going on before I replace any parts because the fan might not be coming on because of the climate module.  The noise on the fan though is probably something stuck in the cage.  I see it all the time.  Just pull the blower out and clear the obstruction.
