Volvo Repair: 99 S80 sunroof, proper alignment, metal strip

Question
The rear metal strip (attached to the glass) came off, I spoke to Volvo who are very helpful and they said they would have to replace the glass but thought a body shop could help me. I just so happen to go by a glass shop and thought they may have the right 'glue' to reattach it. The man was very kind and said that yes he would do it for 20 bucks. He took the glass out and I left it with him while I ran some errands. I came back a few hours later and it was done great. He reinstalled it and I was on my way. When I got home I shut my roof and noticed when I was on the outside of the car that it seems like the rear of the sun roof sits lower than the front? I have no idea if it was like this before or not. I hate to go back to this nice guy if its not a big deal or if I could level it out myself? I don't see how he could have messed something major up, he simply unscrew the 4 hex's (sp) took out the glass and that was it. When I came back he layed the glass back in and replaced the screws? Any idea's? Should I redo the screws? Is this something major caused by something minor?

Thanks Jennifer

Answer
The glass does need adjustment to be in the proper alignment when it is removed.  He most likely just didn't think about it when putting the glass back in.  The front of the glass needs to be 1mm lower than the roof and the rear needs to be 1mm above the roof.  You can easily do it yourself.  Just loosen the screws and then push the glass into position and retighten.  Not a big deal as long as the front of the glass is down.  If the front of the glass is up, it could catch a breeze wrong on the highway and blow out of the car.  I have seen it happen.
