Volvo Repair: 99 v70 bad abs causing engine stall?, engine stall, throttlebody

My 99 v70 abs light has been coming on during braking and I feel a vibration in the pedal.This morning the light was on the vibration was worse and the car stalled in traffic on braking.It started right back up,but,I had to hold the gas pedal when braking.Would the abs be the cause of the stall?Can I disconnect the abs?

Most likely your ABS is not the cause of the stall.  Most likely the throttlebody is the cause.  It is a part that can be warrantied up to 10 years, 200,000 miles, but there has to be some sort of diagnostic trouble code stored to do so.  Also there is more up to date software that can be installed free of charge at your dealer.  I would try that first before going crazy looking for the problem or paying big repair bills.  Either of those 2 things would be free of charge.  It is service campaign 155 for the download.  The service advisor whould know what you are talking about.
