Volvo Repair: 1990 Volvo 740 idle problem, vacuum leak, model volvo

Question
I have a 1990 Model Volvo 740 4 door sedan. The car will choke down or stall in idle, when coming to a stop in drive, and when shifting into reverse.  This problem only occurs once the engine has warmed up and the car has been driven for about 5-10 minutes or so.  I have had the throttle body cleaned on two seperate occasions (or so the mechanics told me they did).  The car also seems to be a bit sluggish on the acceleration and it also reaches about 3500-4000rpms before shifting.  Is this a vacuum leak problem, and/or could it be something else?  Thank you for your time.

Answer
Chris, Sounds like an airmass meter issue and not properly cleaning and adjusting the throtle body.  Adjust the kickdown cable and see if the shifting issue comes down.  If there was a vacuum leak you would hear it.  The idle speed motor may also be sticking.  Roger
