Volvo Repair: 1993 850 volvo climate control, independent volvo, salvage yards

the control panel does not do anything. i took it to an ac place and they checked it and said they would have to make phone calls tofind what is wrong. they said i needed to leave it for half a day. i heard that the volvo place is the only place that can fix. what should i do? the ac place did a basic elec test with no results. when i bought it the air was not working . the car was always brought to the dealer by former owner.

Kirnan, Usually on the 93 850, the control panel gets fried.  If you can find an independent Volvo shop they will be able to help you also and a lot cheaper than the dealer.  You can also try the salvage yards for a used control head but  you dont know what you are getting.  Be prepared to pay about 600 bucks for that thing new.  Sorry for the bad news.  Roger
