Volvo Repair: 1986 Volvo 240GL, fuel pressure regulator, cold engine

Question
Hello my Volvo has a hard time starting the first start of the day.  But once it starts and gets warm it runs perfectly.  Do you think that I need a carburator?  Or is there anyhting else you think I need to replace.  I just had the fule filter replaced.    Thanks

Answer
Hi John,
Is this car from outside the U S ?
All U S Volvos are fuel injected...check your cold start valve....remove it with high pressure line attached..point injector into container...with cold engine...try to start..look to see if injector sprayed....if not....get a NEW one.
   Fuel pressure regulator perhaps.
     I don't know the systems used on non-U S Volvos...sorry
