Volvo Repair: where is the location of the throttle body in a Volvo V-70, volvo v 70, throttle plate

Question
We are unable to purchase a owner's Manual for our 2000 Volvo V-70.  My husband can fix anything but without the manual it makes it very difficut.  Can you please help.  I have been told the problem with my car is that the Throttle Plate is gummed up and needs to be cleaned.  My car has been stalling out when you are driving slow or when you are stopping.  Do you think the problem is the Throttle Plate?  Please advise

Answer
Could very likely be the problem.  The throttle body is located under the intake manifold.  If its a turbo model it is centered underneath the manifold.  If its non turbo it will be more towards the drive side.  You, can also find it by following the intake tubing towards the engine.  Where it meets the manifold, there is the throttle body.  Just undo the hose clamp and pull the tube off and you can see the throttle plate.  Hope that helps.
