Volvo Repair: 1995 volvo 850, gm cars, volvo 850

Question
I need to replace the thermostat. The parts people offer two thermostats that operate at 87 and 90 degrees C. Is there any difference except for the price? Secondly, I did this job when I was a kid on GM cars. It was two bolts and a gasket. Is the procedure and harder for a volvo?

Answer
Process isn't any harder except maybe a little more akward for positioning because engine compartments are a little more crowded now a days.  The only thing different with the types is the temperature that it opens completely.  87 and 90 are so close that it doesn't even really matter.  Go with what ever you want, if you're worried about it overheating STILL though I'd go with the 87.  Hope that helps.
