Volvo Repair: Volvo 740 GLE 1988 Wagon, coolant temperature sensor, volvo 740 gle

Question
I have had some problems starting in cold weather. I get it every year when it is below -25 or so. It floods out and will not start. I had it towed to the local garage and they got it started and it seemed to be fine now however I am have loss of power and the car will not go above 40 Kms/hr. At this point the problem seems to be intermitant some days its fine and other not. I suspect the following Halls sensor, or the continueous fuel relay or the throttle switch. What do you think.

cheers

Answer
if I had to guess I would guess engine coolant temperature sensor or airmass meter.it could also be a bad fuel pressure regulator or pump problem.fuel pressure should be checked when it acts up to be sure.also check for fuel leaking out the vacuum side of the fuel pressure regulator.
