Question
I have found an oil leak under the spark plug wire cover beteen #3-4 spark plug holes is a hole that looks like it should have a plug. The previous owner had put a jury rigged plug in the hole and siliconed all around it. I went to local junk yards to see if they had the correct plug but none had any. My dealership doesn't have any plug that goes there either. Is the hole just a vent for the crank case? If so could the reason I get oil leaking from the hole be a clogged pcv valve? my mechanic says he has already purged that line. So I am stumped.

Answer
I would need to see it ot be sure.on this model there should be a hose attached to a hole between I believe 2 and 3.which would be for the PCV system and would then go to the flame trap box under the intake manifold.the only one I can think of possibly between 3 and 4 is on older models there was a pipe that went here for the air pump system this car may have had a cylinder head replaced and now has the wrong head on it which does not make a big difference other than there is no plug offered for this hole from volvo so you will need to make something to fit it.sorry I could not help more.
