Volvo Repair: Volvo v 70 2001 wagon, volvo v 70, fan switch

Question
Iam having a problem with the fan switch on my car. If I turn off the car and still have the switch on, the fan will go on even with the car turned off. This has happened about 3 times. Any answers?

do you mean the blower motor in the passenger compartment.if so when does it come on?it will come on after certain conditions have been met associated with the air conditioner system.this is called the afterblower.which does this to dry the evaporator to prevent the water from staying on the evaporator and attracting mold.this can happen up to about 1 hour after the car has been shut off.
