Volvo Repair: 99 Volvo XC ETS ABS Traction Control problem, volvo xc, dtcs

Question
Hi,

I have a 99 Volvo XC with 106,000 miles.  The ETS light has come on permanently.  The ABS and traction control lights come on once in a while and turn off.  The car runs well and I am not experiencing any problems.  My local mechanic suggested that because the ABS and TC lights come on, the problem is a faulty ABS control unit.  He thinks a replacement of this will also fix the ETS problem.  Thanks for any suggestions!

Answer
Hello,
yes it is possible. Sometimes ETS light comes because of ABS faulty, but it can be decided if the (Diagnostic Trouble Code) DTCs are known. Since this mechanic knows the DTCs, he can decide. However, if you give me DTCs I can help you more.
