Volvo Repair: Rear S40 Brakes, caliper piston, bleeder valve

Question
Replacing the brakes on my 02 S40 after 26000 miles. I took
everything apart and could not get the caliber to compress. I
bent a compressor. I took it to Volvo thinking that it has ceased
up. They tell me its fine. Of course, they want a years pay to
replace them. Is there something that I am not doing to get the
caliber to compress? I do know that with ABS, you need to open
the bleeder valve. Thank you.

Answer
you do not need to open a bleeder valve.there is a special tool that compresses and turns the caliper piston at the same time.if you looked at the caliper you should have seen 2 nothces in the piston the tool turns as it pushes.it can be done with 2 pair of pliers one turning while you squeeze the piston with the other.it is not easy to do this way.some parts store rent tools for a deposit and if returned you get the full deposit back.
