Towing Issues: Driveway Damage Due to Tow, asphalt driveway, tow company

Hi - I had my car towed to my house.  I asked the tow company to place my car in the driveway.  When I returned home, I found that my driveway was damage as a result of the car being lowered and forced into the asphalt driveway.  My car did the damage to the driveway, but it was a result of the car being lowered by the tow truck.  Who is responsible for this property damage?  Car owner / home owner or towing company?

interesting question...  I would have to see what kind of damage to really provide an answer, but in certain cases the design of a tow truck when it operates can do some things.. Most of the time it is scrapes where the lift hits the ground...

And then design of the driveway also does work into the question and answer here also...

It can be a combination of things which did the damage.


Big groves and such well that is a bit different...

But I would talk to the tow company and see what they say...
