I want to know how to change the light bulb in the gear selector
box on a volvo v70 xc 1998. Automatic transmission.

you will need to remove the center console.remove the cover inside the consol storage area.then remove the 2 screws under this cover.lift the parking brake then remove the parking brake leather cover by pulling it off it is just clipped onto the console.then shift the gear selector to drive then remove the 2 wiring connectors under the hand brake cover.then the console will lift out.this will give access to the buld.
