Volvo Repair: 2 part question, 1996 volvo 960, volvo 960

Question
1) I have a 1996 volvo 960. My radio cuts out and comes back on every 2 months. It seems electrical because I have no power (lights to illuminate) the radio ouline or my light surrounding my AC temperature setting. Any thoughts?

2) I recently had my timing belt and the pulley that turned it. I was burning oil but nothing on the groung. I have to add a quart every month. What is this related too.

1. sounds like possibly a bad ignition switch.try jiggling the switch next time it happens.

2.not sure on this one.would need to see it.we do not see many oil burning problems related to internal engine problems.usually it is a leak or just the age and type of driving.
