Volvo Repair: rear rotor removal, toothed wheel, brake shoes

Question
1995 960 volvo.
I need to remove rear rotor to have it turned.  It seems to be stuck and I cannot get it off. It is almost as if a spring is holding it on somehow.  Any advice on how to get it off?
Thanks

Answer
yo will need to either keep working it usually it will come of it has to come off dead straight because it is hanging up on the parking brake shoes.or you will need to loosen the parking brake mechanism behind the rotor by looking through one of the holes in the rotorfor a small toothed wheel and push on the toothed wheel to turn it so the shoes loosen up.turn it a litle then try moving the wheel to be sure you are going the right direction.
