Cadillac: 1997 deville, northstar v8, oil life

I have a 1997 deville northstar v8, and no manuals, the change oil light comes on every time i start the car. it's time to change the oil , how do I reset this warning?

Answer
Ignition ON, Engine OFF.

2. While watching the diagnostic information center (CIC) display keep pushing and releasing the OIL button on th DIC until you see OIL LIFE INDEX.

3. Hold IN the RESET button for 5 seconds  until you see RESET onthe DIC and the oil life index equals 100 percent and then release the button.
