Cadillac: 1989 Cadillac DeVille, air suspension system, shock absorber

Question
My 89 Deville just shut off while I was at a stop light the other night. t would not restart.  The lights and stereo were all still going, it would crank, but would not turn over. I had a friend looking at it. He said the little motor for the  vehicle leveling thing kept running, like every 3 minutes or so. He clean out the air filter a bit, and reconnected a hose riht behin the engine block. When we tried to restart after that the battery was dead. We got a jump and it started right up. It ran fine most the day yesterday, but when I just tried to start it this morning, it wouldn't turn over at first, I waited bout 5 mins. and it started after a little push. AThe whole time I drive that "vehicle is leveling" light keeps coming up? I am feeling quite lost as to the actual origination of the problem. HELP!!

Answer
The "vehicle is leveling" light keeps coming up most likely due to a leak in the air suspension system air tubing, a leaking shock absorber, a faulty HEIGHT SENSOR either of which will cause the air pump to run on and off all night draining the battery. i can provide pictures and diagnostic test procedures if you e-mail me at: onlineautohelp@msn.com.
