Cadillac: emission system & service engine light 96 cadillac deville, cadillac deville, emission system

Question
QUESTION: Sorry to bother you, I got your e-mail from the All Experts web for Cadillacs, I have a question, I own a 96' Cadillac Deville and the Emission System Light came on also it is smoking from hood. I had it diagnosed 2X,
The 1st time they told me it was the manifold gasket when i took it in they told me gasket is fine that it needs the plenum which could come up to 500 for part only, 2nd time I had it diagnosed I was told it was leaking oil into some kinda sensor in motor, I believe they called it a Motor sensor which I have no Idea which is true.
I actually did not get my problem fix, I took it to a mechanic they charged me 300 to fix and all they replaced was the oil sensor i believe they called it, the service engine and emission system light turned back on after bout an hour that I took it home. any suggestions?
I was reading thought some questions on this website, something about ignition on engine off press and hold OFF and WARMER & codes will start appearing, well I did that and codes read exactly like
CODE PC0171 HISTORY
CODE PC0603 HISTORY
CODE IP1552 HISTORY
NO ACM CODES
NO SDM CODES
NO TCS CODES
NO RSS CODES
NO PZM CODES
NO IRC CODES
CODE RF2560 HISTORY
PCM?

if you can give me any suggestions on what it could be I would really appreciate it. It would really be helpful to me.

Thank you
Nina Rodriguez

QUESTION: Done what you told me to do, Now after a couple of days driving car it displays codes PC0171 and PC0174. Do you know what those codes mean?

I told mechanic that previously fixed car that it still had issue and he stated all I need to do is wash motor, But I ain't really sure 'bout that, So I ain't even going to bother taking it back.

Answer
Any type of vacuum leak will cause these 2 codes to appear. Are they HISTORY or CURRENT codes. Re-enter diagnostics and find out.

Any exhaust leaks around the exhaust manifolds can also cause these codes.

So will a leaking plenum gasket and or intake manifold gasket.

Check all over the engine for vacuum line leaks or other types of vacuum leaks.
