Cadillac: Cadillac Catera, cadillac catera, fuel pump relay

I have a 97 cadillac catera, it ran out of gas, so i put 8
gallons of gas into the car and it still won't turn over i don't hear the fuel pump, i did check the fuse for the fuel pump it is ok. the car never ran funny or anything prior to running out of gas, i guess my question is will i have to buy a new fuel pump or can i do something else

Could be the fuel pump relay and or the fuel pump. The relay is located in the engine compartment relay center.
