-----Question-----
I have a 1993 Cadillac De Ville with a 4.9 Liter Engine. The problem: Fuel injectors shut off killing the engine.
I tested the fuel pressure, while the injectors were open the pressure was at 37PSI when they shut off pressure went to 45PSI before engine shut off.
I don't know how or to test for he codes.
Any guidance would be helpful.
-----Answer-----
1. Ignition ON.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons for 3 seconds and release the buttons.

3. The codes will display. Write down every letter and number combination as it appears on the screen. EVERY ONE.
-----Answer-----
FF40 is the one that is causing your problem.

FIRST you need to CLEAR the codes from the computer:

1. Ignition ON.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons for 3 seconds and release the buttons.

4. After the codes stop displaying you will see .7.0 on the screen.

5. Simultaneously push the OFF and HI buttons until you see E.0.0 and release the buttons.

6.Simultaneously push the OFF and LO buttons until you see F.0.0 and release the buttons.

7. this will clear ALL the codes.

8. turn ignition OFF, Wait 30 seconds and re-enter diagnostics to see what codes re-appear and let me know.
