I'm having a difficult time following these directions.  Everything is okay until I get to Number 6.  I push the HI button and the display goes blank, then push AUTO ... but when I get to number 8 nothing happens.  Will you recheck the sequence please?

Question -
1994 Cadillac STS - I bought in December 2005 with 98k miles - regularly serviced.  My mechanic said it needed new struts ... but I didn't want to put $3k in it for struts.  TODAY, the Service Ride Control indicator came on ... does this have to do with needing new struts OR is it something else?  And if so, what?

Answer -
Was the light on BEFORE you had the dealer look at it. If NOT, Take it back as they may have inadvertently disconnected a sensor.

Answer -
Check your computers for CODES:

1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons until the whole display illuminates and then release the buttons.

2. Fault CODES will start to appear and will stop when you see PCM?.

3. Write down the codes in the EXACT order in which they display and let me know what they are.

4. turn ignition OFF.

Answer
OK, I need to look up, Scan and e-mail you diagnostic test documents and an electrical schematic of the faulty sensor, wires or RSS MODULE (computer) to determine which one is at fault.

You will need to contact me at:

tomcjoy@msn.com

In order for me to provide you with pictures and and electrical schematic to find and fix your problem since this board does not allow sending pictures.

PLEASE include your original question(s) and the MAKE-MODEL-YEAR and ENGINE SIZE of your vehicle when you contact me.

PLEASE tell me if you do your own repairs and or your skill level of auto repair. This is VERY VERY important if I am to be able to help you repair your own vehicle.
