Hi. I got a warning light that`s staying `on`. Lower left side of dashboard. It reads: Service SSS. This came on after I applied my brakes hard to avoid a collision. Luckily, no contact was made with the other car. However, this warning light has been `on` ever since. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance. Regards,

Honestly I have never heard of SSS, maybe ABS, SRS, SIR, and such things which usually deal with air bags and brakes, but SSS.
Hmmm...  If you can go to your local auto parts store and see if there is an unwrapped Cadillac Haynes or Chilton manual for range of Cadillacs your car falls into.  There it should explain ALL the codes and what they mean.
If they are wrapped just buy it if you want to really know, they are not that expensive.  The Haynes is usually less expensive than the Chilton.
