Chevrolet: oil leak, valve covers, oil leak

i have an oil leak coming from the rear of my engine.its a rebuilt 350 in a 81 gmc shortbox.the valve covers were loose so i tightened them and that wasn't the problem. what could it be?

Hi - well if you tightened the valve covers and it is still doing it, than it could be from the distributor gasket, valve cover gaskets or I hope it is not your rear main seal, as if it was just rebuilt it should be fine as it would be new unless the old one was re-used.
