Chevrolet: Camaro does not shut off, electrical tape, steering column

Question
My 1990 Camaro does not shut off when key is turned to off position.  I have Man tran. and tilt steering.  Previously when this happened I was able to correct the problem by adjusting the tilt steering.  Now it is permanent.  All lights and engine are on until I disconnect the battery.
Can you help?

Answer
There is a short in your steering column. You need to open up the steering column and locate the two wires coming from the ignition switch that are touching each other and shorting keeping the car running. Repair with electrical tape and you should be good to go.
