Chevrolet: Spidering/Peeling Paint on Lumina, light coats, harsh soaps

Did Chevy have problems with the black paint on the roof of the Lumina's (mine is a 1992) peeling, spidering, whatever that you know of.  Was this a common problem?

       I have not heard of any bad paint for 1992. it could be from the weather or sun , bad wax or no wax . Car washing places do use some harsh soaps and chem. so there could be a few things causing it ,  I would buff it up nice and put a few coats of a good wax on it.two or three light
coats of wax are better than one heavy coat.
