Towing Issues: need to reduce GVWR, ford

I need to reduce the GVWR on my ford to 12,000 GVWR

Answer
I have no idea why you would want to do this or how to do it... I am guessing maybe its to expensive to register it for the higher weight...

But the manufacturer is the one who sets the GVWR... Its all the parts of the vehicle combined to come up with the numbers..
