Chevrolet: 89 caprice heater wont heat up, caprice classic, pimp my ride

Question
Hey Roger,

I have an 89' caprice classic brougham. it is the love of my life. i hooked it up real nice and at one point and time it looked like something off of pimp my ride show. Then my car was stolen an they not only took the system they took parts. i fixed most of it but i cant figure out why the heater wont heat up. i have a slight confesion to make i cant find the heater box. so if you can help me find it by telling me where it should be. but just incase it is there and i just didnt see it. what could possibly be wrong with it. by the way i just started "doing-it-myself" about a month ago with help from friends. so please answer it in a 3rd grade lingo.

                             Thanks,

Answer
Hea  Mac;
         I know how you feel, well the heater core is located under the dash on the passenger side in back of the glove box, also under the hood on the fire wall on the passenger side ,there should be two hoses going into the fire wall into the heater core.If you have those hoses than you should have heat, if the hoses are hot that means the water is going in - but if no heat- the box is not opening up , so you will have to look to see what is causing it not to open up.a switch or a hose , you will have to check them. ok good luck
