Chevrolet: Chevy Blazer noise, lower ball joints, chevy blazer

Question
Hi,
We have a 1990 Chevy S-10 Blazer (optional 4 wheel drive, front wheel drive when 4WD not active).  We bought it used and found out that it needed quite a bit of work.  We recently replaced the axle on the front passenger side.  Also the hub? assembly was just replaced on that side (several bolts had sheared off the front passenger side and the wheel was unstable).   Then the upper ball joint on the driver's side failed, taking the axle on that side with it.  We've replaced the axle and the upper and lower ball joints on that side.  However, we noticed when the car is turning sharply, particularly in reverse (it seems), there is an intermittant clicking sound from the front passenger side in the vicinity of the wheel/axle.  We just finished the driver's side repair work tonight and haven't taken the car in to have the alignment done yet (which does need to be done fairly badly) if that matters.  The symptoms seem to match that of a bad CV joint according to several online diagnosis sites, but we just replaced that.  Is it likely that the stress of the other side going out caused the new CV joint to have problems?  What else could be causing this?
Thank you,
Becca
