Dodge: 03 dodge ram 1500, dodge ram 1500, spare key

QUESTION: This 03 ram 1500 was parked and when I went to start the vehicle, the key will not turn. Tried the spare key still doesnt turn. Ever seen or heard of this before?

ANSWER: HEY JOHN,TRY TURNING THE STEERING FROM RIGHT TO LEFT WHILE YOU ARE TURNING THE KEY. IF YOU ARE PARKED AGAINST SOMETHING THE PRESSURE ON THE WHEELS MAY MAKE THE IGNITION HARD TO TURN. IF THAT DOES NOT DO IT YOU MAY HAVE A TUMBLER THAT HAS WENT BAD IN YOUR IGNITION LOCK.LET ME KNOW,TIM.

QUESTION: Tim, I tried turning the wheel as i jiggled the key and that didnt help. The wheels are straight. It feels like to me that the tumblers are there as I slide the key in and out. I am familiar with the steering being in a bind and locking. This is not the case. I am wondering if there is a common problem with this particular vehicle or its just something that has happened to me. I appreciate your time. Any more suggestions? Thanks

HEY JOHN,I AM NOT AWARE OF ANYTHING OUTSIDE THE IGNITION LOCK GOING BAD.I WILL PLUG IT INTO MY ALL DATA AND SEE IF THERE IS SOMETHING I'M MISSING.GET BACK TO YA IF I FIND ANYTHING.IT DOES HOWEVER SOUND LIKE ONE OF THE TUMBLERS HAVE GONE BAD.THANKS,TIM
