Dodge: Trans Swap, dodge ram van, 46re

Question
Hi,
I just finished swapping the dead 46re 2wd trans out of my 96 dodge ram van with a 5 speed manual from a 98 ram truck.  Before the swap, the motor ran great.  All of the bolting up is finished and ready to go.  Upon cranking the motor, the engine starts momentarilly but then dies.  I've got good spark and good fuel pressure at the rails.  I'm guessing it's a fuel delivery issue caused by the mis-matched sensors on the manual trans.  It was necessary for me to bypass the sensor that enables the starter to crank.  Is there anything I can do to bypass the remaining sensor/s necessary to allow the motor to idle and power up?  Any advice you have is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Answer
HEY MIKE,I HAVE JUST ONE QUESTION?DID YOU USE A CRANK SENSOR? THE 46RE HAS IT IN THE BELL HOUSING,WHERE IS IT ON THE MANUAL? THE 46RE FLEX PLATE HAS EXCITER WINDOWS TO TRIGGER THE CRANK SENSOR.THE CORRECT SIGNAL ALSO WORKS YOUR FUEL INJECTION PULSES SO IF IT IS NOT CORRECT FOR WHAT YOU NOW HAVE YOUR IN A BIT OF TROUBLE. HAVE YOU SCANNED IT TO GET ANY TROUBLE CODES? SOMETIMES IF YOU TURN THE KEY ON AND OFF 5 TIMES IT WILL BLINK TROUBLE CODES. CAN YOU GET THE PCM FOR THE MANUAL TRUCK? DID IT RUN FINE PRIOR TO THE SWAP? LET ME KNOW MIKE,I WILL HELP,TIM.
