Dodge: LeBaron Transmission, lebaron convertible, time transmission

Hi Ram Man. The wife's 1992 LeBaron Convertible GTS, V-6 3.0, 4 speed O/D automatic, stopped shifting one night, all of a sudden. It was fine until then. Then it would not shift from 1st to 2nd. Fluid is fine and full.  It has reverse and low all day long if you want. But put it in O/D and when it tries to shift to 2nd, it acts like neutral. Turn off the engine, and re-start and it will do the same thing. I tried clearing the codes with the hope of retraining the computer, and tried again. Codes are 12, 37, and 55. Think it could be the control solenoid or what? Thanks, Jerry, also a Ram Man.

Yes it could be a shift solenoid,I would call the dealership and ask if there is software update for the transmission on this car.My truck was doing the same thing and this is what they told me.I would talk to them before changing out a bunch of stuff because if you spend money on the transmission and there is,you'll be wasting time.Transmission work is very costly!Keep me posted..RamMan
