Ford: 97 Ford F-250, ford f 250, distributor cap

I have a 97 Ford F-250 Heavy duty. It has a 5.8 motor and a auto tran. Well the tranny went down and the truck set for 7 months. We just got it back the other day. Now it is lugging hard, and missing. Like when you pull out of a gas station for instance. It just acts like a sick dog. It just has no power. But other times it run fine like it used to. We have changed the fuel filter, distributor cap and button, air filter. The fuel filter was really dirt when changed. My husband thinks it not fireing right when its running. Please help!!

wWell, gasoline is not as it used to be. If a vehicle is parked for more than 2 months and the tank is not full, the gas can run bad anbd a lot of condensation can collect.

It would be best to drain the tank and refill with good gas. make sure a critter hasnt decided to nest in the exhaust or air intake.

Add a good fuel system cleaner and take it for a good drive.
