Ford: 1980 Mustang, ocean city md, alternator

Question
Hi, I have a 1980 Mustang that was born with a 4cyl/auto...I have transplanted a 460 into this Pony. I have always had charging issues. I replaced the Alternator and still can't get the darn thing to charge the battery. I have concern about the wiring...it only has 2 wires going to the Alternator. I think I might be missing a wire or 2 or 3??? Please help! How many wires should there be? Where should they be coming from? And where do they go? What are the color codes on the wires? I have a Cruise to attend in Ocean City, MD the 2nd week of May and I really need to resolve this problem...any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!

Answer
I need to know what the alternator came off of... mow mant plugs are on the alternator?   (The types are externaly regulated, internal regulated 65 amp, internal regulated 130 amp, external regulated 100 amp)  If you can send me a link to a picture of the alternator... Thanks and we can get this fixed... it's a piece of cake...
