Ford: 2002 Ford Explorer Seat Stuck, seat mechanism, steering wheel

Question
Hello my name is Yolanda and I was wondering if you could tell me what is going on with my seat. The thing is, my driver's seat is automatic and it was rolled too far ahead and it will not go back for nothing. My seat will still go up,down, tilt forwards and backwards, but it will not move whatsoever when I try to put it back. So now my driver's seat is basically stuck like right up on my steering wheel as if I was a very short person and had to have the seat right up on the steering wheel in order to see over it.If you have any ideas on what may be the problem please help me I would greatly appreciate it!!!

                                    Thank You

Answer
i am going to assume Yolanda that you mean the seat will not recline. if that is the case when you move the arm to recline the seat does it feel like it is moving something or does it feel like nothing there. Compare it to the passenger seat if you must to see if it has the same amount of resistance. I am thinking we have a linkage concern with the reclining seat mechanism and may require seat disassembly to rectify this concern.

Thanks for the question

Jim
