Question -
On the alterator, there are 3 connectors.
1) a big red wire leading to the battery.
2) a single wire connector.
3) a 3 wires connector.

Q1) What are they and where are they leading to?
Q2) How can I test the wires?

With the single wire and the 3 wires connectors connected and the engine running. (big red wire is not connected)

Q3) What is the voltage output of the big red wire connector, 12v?
Q4) I have 0.5v, is the alterator good or bad?

Thanks in advance.
Answer -
I am afraid that I leave the alternator stuff to my husband.  Any schuck's and or Wal-mart tire center will test your alternator and charging system for free.  If you would like a more detailed answer I will catch my husband and ask him, to right down the answer to this question.

The closest walmart store is 33 miles, I am afaid the battery don't make that far. If you can ask your husband that would be great. Thanks

Answer
Use a voltage meter on battery if readout does not read between 13 and 18 volts while vehicle is running, then your alternator is need of being replaced.  As for the wires the big red one goes to the battery, the single wire connector connects to a stater or a voltage meter in vehicle.  The 3 wires go to the ecc (computer).
